The Port of Saguenay welcomed its first ocean-going vessel of 2023

January 5th, 2023

The Port of Saguenay welcomed its first ocean-going vessel of 2023 as the M/V Major Richard-Winters anchored at the Marcel-Dionne wharf at the Grande-Anse marine terminal on January 2. As tradition dictates, the Port marked the arrival of the first ship from abroad in the New Year by presenting a commemorative plaque and a basket of regional products to its captain, Mr. Gregory B. Katsirubas.

Flying the American flag, the Richard-Winters arrived at the Port of Saguenay from Europe with a load of containerized general cargo. The ship is 108 meters long. Click here to find out more and discover a first overview of the balance sheet for the year 2022 (in French).
