The Port of Saguenay took advantage of its Annual Meeting held virtually yesterday to submit its annual report, review the activities of the past year and highlight the current effervescence surrounding the industrial-port zone (IP zone) of Saguenay.
The Port Authority seized the oppornunity of this pivotal year to carry out an extensive strategic planning exercise with its entire board of directors. The sustainable development of its territory thus becomes a top priority for the organization. An important focus is also directed towards the international prospecting of new projects, in close collaboration with Promotion Saguenay.
"The Port of Saguenay intends to stand out in the development of its industrial-port zone, recognized as one of the largest in Canada, by attempting to establish strategic links linked to sustainable development. Our desire is to create an intelligent industrial development space, integrated into its environment and, above all, developed in an eco-design approach ”, explained Stéphane Bédard, Chairman of the Board of the Port of Saguenay.
