The Jaeger Arrow is expected to leave the Grande-Anse terminal this evening for the Port of Sept-Îles. The vessel carried 4,500 tons of liquid pitch and general cargo, mainly for regional aluminum smelters.
In order to highlight the event, and as tradition requires, Mr. Ghislain Harvey, President of the Saguenay Port Authority, presented a commemorative plaque to Captain Dmitriy Yastrebtsev at a reception held for the occasion at the offices of the Administration.
In 2016, nearly 300,000 metric tonnes of general cargo and bulk liquid and solid materials were transported through the Port of Saguenay facilities.
