Port of Saguenay Annual General Meeting

The annual general meeting of the Saguenay Port Authority took place on May 1, 2017 in La Baie. At the event, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Ghislain Harvey, and the General manager and CEO, Mr. Carl Laberge, had the opportunity to make a comeback on the year 2016, which was a very busy year for the Port Autorithy.

 

Highlights of 2016 included the establishment of the Saguenay industrial-port zone (IPZ) as part of the Maritime Strategy of Québec, the announcement of the construction of the BlackRock Metals processing plant on the Port’s properties, advances in the new maritime terminal on the north shore of the Saguenay River as part of the Arianne Phosphate project, and also, the welcome of the majestic Queen Mary II at the Bagotville wharf.

 

The year 2017 promises to be exciting and as full of challenges and projects as 2016. The entire port team and its partners are mobilized to make also 2017, a year of great achievements.
